- rchaud 4y agoYou'll also need to own and pay for marketing and distribution in that case. I don't know of any indie consumer video-based product that got popular without being on Youtube. Note that I am excluding "video courses". Most people can't do the marketing, it requires too much time to learn and implement, time that cuts into video production. For a lot of people, it's better to delegate it to the platform itself.
