Nothing will be needed except a web browser and an SSH client (which is built into all major desktop OSes now). I have slides for 40 two-hour presentations, with practical exercises that can be done in a virtual machine or on a VPS. Topics include the most common shell commands, package and service management, networking, security, supply chain questions, running web applications in production, and even source code compilation. The course is delivered using multiple distributions, to highlight common things and differences (i.e. so that you can know the extent to which you can apply the information in Arch Wiki while running e.g. Debian).
