FBI misled judge who signed warrant for Beverly Hills seizure of $86M

- chriscappuccio 4y agoWith those papers kept unsealed, it should be easier for attorneys to get people back their stolen property. Amazing how easy this theft really was. A judge really signed off on the FBI randomly confiscating 1400 unknown safe deposit boxes!? It would be entertaining to hear Steve Lehto's and Marc Randazza's takes.
- paranoidrobot 4y ago> It would be entertaining to hear Steve Lehto's He's already done several on it. Most recently two days ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJf7ZHaQLsc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJf7ZHaQLsc

- ncmncm 4y agoWhat I notice is exactly zero mention of charging anybody in the Justice Department or FBI with any crime. Not even those who knowingly, blatantly lied in sworn statements. There are laws on the books about that. Why are they refusing to enforce the law?
- feet 4y agoWho polices the police? They investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing
- EricE 4y agoWho watches the watchers? Our federal agencies are out of control :(
- tehwebguy 4y ago> Our federal agencies are out of control :( Probably all police forces in the US are out of control. FBI arrests around 20k people per year, non-federal agencies make almost all of the 10M+ arrests each year and they are similarly immune to most prosecution.
- tehwebguy 4y agoNo duh. Cops lie, all the time. They are virtually immune from prosecution whether it’s for lying on a document, lying on the stand or even executing someone in the street. It’s great that this one may actually face accountability for their crime (embarrassing a judge) but there will never be accountability for the judges who rubber stamp every nonsense warrant that comes across their desk.
