Putin grants Russian citizenship to former US security contractor Edward Snowden
- hsnewman 4y ago
- mtmail 4y agoDo you have reading material for that claim?
- beardyw 4y agoFrom Wikipedia: "Snowden has been variously called a traitor, a hero, a whistleblower, a dissident, a coward, and a patriot" Maybe you should update it, though you will need a reference.
- hsnewman 4y agoYou want me to update Wikipedia? Anyone can do that, that's why it's not smart to quote it as fact.

- tssva 4y agoWill he now be called up and used as cannon fodder?
- _zzaw 4y agoHighly doubtful—I'd imagine his technical abilities are more needed than ever now, given how many tech folks are trying to get out of Russia. But I do have to wonder what his arrangement with Putin's regime is. Seems unlikely that they just gave him a place to crash without expecting something in return.
- lastofthemojito 4y agoMore likely he'll die in a fall or "commit suicide" like so many other prominent Russians this year: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Russian_businessmen_mystery_deaths https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Russian_businessmen_myste...
- mtmail 4y agoThe tweet has no information other than the headline. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/putin-grants-russian-citizenship-us-whistleblower-edward-snowden-2022-09-26/ https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/putin-grants-russian-ci... might be a better source.
- netsharc 4y agoAlso it seems to be slanted, is it really Putin doing it? And wtf is pa.media, a website/Twitter account hoping you'd confuse it with AP (Associated Press)?
- robtaylor 4y agoIf only there was some way to find out, about pages, google etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PA_Media https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PA_Media Don't be lazy, it means you post stuff like that and look stupid.
