Are We Getting the Real Stuff in Popular Science?

- tayo42 4y agoI thought it would be fun to learn physics after reading some pop Sci books and basically struggled with what this article mentions. Physics on and level deeper then some small books is academic and in my 30s I realized I need to learn or relearn algebra tricks, multiple calculus courses and maybe even differential equations before I even start to get to physics. And to do that I need to work through basic physics before I can get to anything current. After seeing all this work I ran into the next thing the article mentions, it's a lot of work to do just satisfy some curiosity, I'll never do research, test any ideas or go anywhere with those knowledge if I can even obtain it.
