- hoseja 4y agoBecause it's in the interest of the self-perpetuating entity that claims monopoly on violence for us to believe it's using and enforcing it wisely and effctively.

- vorticalbox 4y agoDo you have an statistics to back up this claim? 45% of violent crimes go unsolved (2017) https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2017/crime-in-the-u.s.-2017/tables/table-25 https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2017/crime-in-the-u.s.-...
- Sankozi 4y ago45% stat you linked seems like a proof for that claim. Violent crimes are rarer and much more investigated than non violent. Also it is 45% of reported violent crimes. So I would bet even majority of violent crimes is unsolved.
- vorticalbox 4y agoI was just wondering if they have a more recent source or a more general reported to solved for all reported crimes. 45% is low and rather worrying I must admit.
- giantg2 4y agoHere's one source. Not sure of the actual source since I'm not registered. https://www.statista.com/statistics/194213/crime-clearance-rate-by-type-in-the-us/ https://www.statista.com/statistics/194213/crime-clearance-r...
