Incentives are nicely aligned between advancing cutting edge healthcare solutions and rich people wanting to live a long healthy life. For example, COVID vaccine was developed by the private sector and rolled out for the US and a few rich European countries, since they were willing to foot the bill. The vaccine wasn't developed by some socialist regime with universal rationed healthcare. Said otherwise, public sector is great for putting a floor on the healthcare available for someone. But private sector is essential to raise the ceiling which will benefit only the rich at first, but everyone else in the long run.
