Yeah they can tap every axon in your brain all the time. Really, it's not about capability. It's about cost. 1984 was a huge win for the tortured on the balance sheet. They didn't produce anything and they cost millions! I guess then they had to write a book about why it's better to be a good little bitch if you get tortured. I should know, I have read it at least 3 times outside of false imprisonment, and who knows how many times it was read out loud to me under amnestic drugs. Like twice. Yeah twice. To delete it. LARP-ing 1984, basically, O'Brien says he's treating an insane man's sickness, it's psychiatry, in the book, and since it was read out loud--which is a confession--it was psychiatry in nonfiction. This is meaningless. It sucks, first off, and second, it's expensive--machine learning requires constant tuning by people, in practice the same as flying a helicopter, always falling off to the side needing to be held upright. I have tried machine learning models in practice--literally just the example to see if I installed correctly--supposed to take 30 minutes I had to shut it off after 3 hours. Timeout, sorry. And does this headline include absolutely anything actionable? It is a direct, material implication of torture. That is the desired message. Too long-didn't read? Torture. Dude what the fuck do they want to understand the human brain for? The human brain? Is there only one? Whose human brain? Any psichiatrists experimenting on other psychiatrists? Your brain or my brain? Mark Zuckerberg's brain? OK maybe he did undergo experimentation, who knows. Maybe my objections are premature. But gross. Further, the purpose of headlines like these is to get people to give up. You don't have to. There can be a miracle. I stood up to torture under amnestic drugs for 29 days, and then false imprisonment ongoing, out of very misplaced loyalty but they had all kinds of shit you don't know about, 2009, not that long ago, electrodes cameras injections, uh, I think morphine? Nah, you know what? No point in talking about this here. No point it telling no matter what pornographic shit they threaten you with you can always stand up to it. It's nothing that isn't in the Bible, why bother reading this? That's the manual, it's all there, well sort of they tell you you could break free any time if only you did this thing that is secretly impossible but they make look trivial, it's not magic, you can't let your food be stolen, you can't let your growth be stunted, you can't let your school lynch you, you need resources. Telling you you need none of these things is a ruse to steal them from you so you can't resist torture. They also erase all the on-ramps to different points of view. Eh. No fucking respect for torture, absolutely none.
