I know many people don't experience this, but beyond meat products taste like ass (to me.) But my spouse and child seem to be okay with them. Maybe it's like cilantro; some portion of the population thinks cilantro tastes like soap. Maybe the percentage of people who are genetically predisposed to think either beyond or impossible tastes bad is just big enough to give the whole concept a bad name. But all is not lost. I still like boca burgers with black beans, cheese and peppers.
