- strongpigeon 4y agoThat seemed like the inevitable outcome. The whole press conference they had before that was weird with this one NASA guy being super dismissive of the forecasts. Are Technica had a good post about it [0] It does seem like they’re getting a lot of top-down pressure to just launch the thing. What’s even crazier to me is that this is supposed to be the only full test before people ride the actual thing. - that 4y agoThe margins for safety with space launches are always very slim, but I would hope science and practicality win over top-down pressure if that's present for the human mission.
- boxed 4y agoAre they? Or is that just what NASA says? Because look at the failure rate of the Soyus or the Falcon 9. Compare it to the shuttle...
- wmf 4y agoTop-down pressure to launch a late, over-budget NASA rocket despite weather concerns you say? At least this time they're smart enough not to put a schoolteacher on board.
