The article made me think that the screen will be more readable because it will be 'scaled bigger' and 'will see more content at a time'. I thought it was maybe due to 14x18 more pixels and/or they decreased PPI? Direct quote, emphasis mine:

This is factually incorrect because watch faces do not appear bigger at all. PPI increased (326 -> 338)! Maybe if you look under a microscope? In regards to content, the watch sometimes shows less (!) content than regular Series watch. See this thread[0] for example when Ultra cuts off the sender's name in messages, compared to regular Series 7/8. This specific issue may get a software fix. But claiming 'bigger' watch faces and 'more content' is disingenuous. I think that early reviews of Apple products should be considered as an extension of their marketing machine.
