Not just people looking at their phones but people walking a dog, with two kids in tow, and still looking at their phone. I do a 12 mile walk at least once a week and I'll encounter maybe 2 or 3 people on average who'll smile and say hello. It's worth it just for that reasurance that not every other person is an arshole.
