A World Wide View of Browsing the World Wide Web [pdf]
- comfypotato 4y agoThe paper shows that most sites are regional. I wonder how many of these sites that are popular regionally would have the potential to be popular globally (if only they were widely adopted). A organization related specifically to policy for a region would never be global, but a social media or video sharing platform might be. I wonder if the video platforms and search engines (of which every country has a favorite) will merge over time or continue as distinct entities.
