You're a second class citizen as a contractor compared to the FTEs. More money might be enough compensation but it's hard to shake the feeling of being disposable. Feeling can go both ways. As a contractor you have little invested in the success of the project or company. Only thing that matters is a reputation for your next gig but ultimately 1 project doesn't make or break that.
