Eh the animation was choppy at best. There are a few scenes throughout where it's obvious resources were poured into, but most of it feels like a glorified high def animatic. Too many scenes that are time killers and just filled with still layers parallaxing or just straight up stills zoomed in on and are translating positions, or how they hid mouths in shots to avoid animating/syncing dialogue.
One scene that really stuck out was one where David's sweating face took up like 75% of the screen, sweet was not animated and it stayed still in frame for at least 10-15s (a long ass time in animation). Then shortly after the shot there's animated sweat.
Style wise, it's solid. Animation wise, it's choppy as hell. Story wise, it's super generic. In all, it's meh at best with the exception of a few eye candy action sequences.
Tldr - they cut a ton of corners. Animation is about hiding illusions, not making them apparent
