I was under the impression that on Android, Chromecasting typically doesn't send the actual video but rather asks the Chromecast to play locally, but I suppose this problem still exists then
- rieTohgh6 4y agoIt think it is the same with TV apps, totally killing app on phone doesn't do anything to the video already playing on TV.
- Mindwipe 4y agoThis is correct. It's also how it works with Airplay 2 on iOS now. There isn't really a use case for wanting a higher resolution to cast it elsewhere.
