I know that feeling. You start a presentation, add a slide, and there you're faced with two boxes. The big Title, and the smaller but more imposing SubTitle.

We all hate that superfluous subtitle.
- bergenty 4y agoWe also generally hate pedants.
- sorokod 4y agoDisagree, pedants perform important services in the ecosystem.
- z9znz 4y agoOur days are filled with communication. Eliminating unnecessary or pointless communication is beneficial as it saves time for everyone. A message is also clearer with less noise. In the case I highlighted, I would argue that the image and communication would be stronger with just the title. The subtitle is there possibly just because the template had a slot [subtitle here]. Sometimes I am wrong though. Perhaps they do need a subtitle to tell us how it is new and improved. “Now more undetectable!”
- jandrese 4y ago"That's Defining Possible" has major "the executive committee developed this slogan, it must be on the title page" vibes doesn't it? Removing it would be an improvement.
