The consequences of the "everything-is-free" Web 2.0 internet has created some very arrogant consumers that won't even pay $10/mo. to support content creators.

- dt2m 4y agoTikTok and YouTube are fundamentally different and serve no danger to each other. Nobody's watching a 25-minute video on TikTok.
- ModernMech 4y agoBut people are watching TikTok content on Youtube, so I think that's their point.
- Retric 4y agoTickTok, Vimeo, and Nebula are all direct competition but YouTube is just entertainment for most people so any streaming service also counts. YouTube premium isn’t worth it to me, not because there is a free option but because YouTube content isn’t worth 10$/month.
