In era of easily-retrievable info, note-taking is less about perfection and more about putting it in your words from the start. So put something, anything down, as long as it's your words. Even if it's wrong/incomplete. You go back later and fill in the fine details, again, in your terms, and you save time and get a better understanding than if you just rote copy the slides.
Now talk about it to yourself as if you're the expert professor person lecturing.
