In the early days of the Bugatti Veyron I recall reading that the car came from the factory limited to something like 750HP output and to access the full 1000HP (or whatever the specific numbers were), owners had to complete a driving course first. I'll admit that I don't really have a lot of first-hand experience in this though. It's on my to-do list if I can get one of my side-hustles to take off :)
