- TruthElixirX 15y agoNo, not really. The establishment embraced Ghandi to take the wind out of the more radical violent movements. The same way the NAACP was embraced over the Black Panther Party. - idonthack 15y agoThe peaceful independence movement in India was only able to achieve victory because it was an alternative to violent revolution advocated by other factions.
