- torstenvl 4y ago"Any system of strong autocracy or oligarchy usually to the extent of bending and breaking the law, race-baiting, and/or violence against largely unarmed populations." "(figuratively) Any extreme reliance or enforcement of rules and regulations, sticklerism." "a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism." "a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control" The combination of the privatization of discourse spaces and autocratic suppression of opposing ideas seems to fit many definitions. What, exactly, do you object to?
- desindol 4y agoAlmost everything because you are taking the sandcastles in your head as factotum and like everyone in that headspace you are complaining about it on social media without being suppressed…

- mikewarot 4y ago"Fascism is a system of government led by a dictator who typically rules by forcefully and often violently suppressing opposition and criticism, controlling all industry and commerce, and promoting nationalism and often racism."[1] It's apparent to me that there has been a trend in this direction for decades. Both parties support this trend, as they are both right-leaning. Trump was an outsider who threatened their long standing occupation of DC, and then went there in his own manner.
