I love Sketchup 2017. AFAIK it’s now a web subscript model. I just don’t use it enough to warrant a subscription. I wish I could buy a copy.

- walterbell 4y agoHopefully the Sketchup Make 2017 offline version will inspire open-source competitors.
- moistly 4y agoI’ve idly wondered if the reason there is no O/S competitor is because of patents. SketchUp is pretty smart at figuring out what connection points and directions you’re pulling the model. That’s it’s key advantage IMO, and something I’ve not seen offered by other software.
