Not sure nothingness even exists.
All we know is that everything is information, whether material or immaterial and we perceive some of it.
We only exist because existence exists as a concept.
Likewise Time and space stem from heterogeneous information.
Existence introduces that heterogeneity but how?
Before existence, even the concept of nothingness does not exist. Actually, there aren't even any concepts. So no entropy. Even if it's deemed to be minimal, what drives it to increase? Why can it even increase? (and that's for a closed system anyway... And we need to reason at a meta-level rather)
So then maybe existence just is and is malleable/mutable. The default is not nothingness but infinite fullness. The infinite sum of probabilities.
Then multiple verses exists but their sturdiness depend on the realized probabilities. (our universe might not be very sturdy compared to some others).
Could be different laws of physics altogether etc.
The definition of a universe could have to change anyway... (might not be material in our sense, which is just what we mostly consciously perceive with our 5 senses e.g. Our imagination could be a universe)
Just thinking out-loud. Somewhat philosophic, meta-physic.
