Top Lock Companies to Merge
- rektide 4y agoThis isnt even late capitalism. This is mid-capitalism, in full swing, the invisible hand of supply doing what it does. To the detriment of jobs (which are lost to the improved "efficiency"/redunancy cuts), and to the great misfortune of consumer pricing. This is the untold other part of inflation. Microchips for example underwent a vast series of considations in the 201X's. Part of the reason the chip crisis hit so bad was because everyone was trying to get chips from two or three companies (STm, NXP...). Having some supplier diversity might have offered significantly more adaptability & resillience, would perhaps have let some suppliers respond more freely. Market fragility by their only being one or two big companies left seems to be endemic across the markets.
