This leak is a real big shame. I feel most sorry for the Rockstar employees who have had their work shared prematurely and are now likely to face more resistance to working remotely. I work in the VFX/animation industry. This was typically an industry that outright forbade working anywhere but a “secure” office. COVID helped to change that and people now have a lot more flexibility, but it only takes a few leaks like this to make things go backwards. I’m not saying that this leak was caused by a rouge employee, but events like this will likely trigger questions about everything from network security to remote working.

Does this mean you don't believe in the old saying "any publicity is good publicity"? The leaked videos look early and generic in terms of spoilers. If anything it looks the same as ever GTA. Rinse and repeat, earn a billion dollars in sales, celebrate, move on. I can't see any room for disappointed Rockstar employees in that story. If they were clever, the whole thing was planned, and will be cleverly referenced somewhere in the game world narrative. I mean we live in a world now where bots are purchased by artists to fabricate popularity. Games need to keep up and start incorporating these elements in their narratives, more so than worn out "cops and robbers" action.
