It so well answers what I want when the seldom-used 2010 55" Sony Bravia mounted above the piano goes that I'm considering buying one right now while Phillips is still selling them.

- yurishimo 4y agoNice! 1080p is feasible. I would like 4K, but I haven't found any that seem to exclude smart features with that resolution. Likely because all of these units are old-new stock that hasn't sold in the past 5+ years. I might just need to do some work to find units that respect turning off the smart settings and don't become severely handicapped in the process. A European brand like Philips probably fits that bill better than most. I've heard horror stories about Samsung and Sony TVs attempting to phone home by any means necessary.
