Site is utterly baffling
- EGreg 4y agoThat doesn’t give me much information
- dmje 4y agoI may not be the audience, so take this with a pinch of salt. But I think anyone in any SaaS-like / software space should be articulating several things really clearly on their homepage. This should be really punchy, articulated in a sentence or less. What is this thing? Why would it be useful to me? What value does it bring? Who is the audience? I can see that Qbix is something to do with apps, and something to do with being a platform, and something to do with "social apps" although I'm no 100% sure what those actually are. The value may be there - once I got the videos to play (didn't work for me on Chrome, massive fan spin-up, page stalled, had to boot up Safari which also nearly cronked my computer through CPU load, no idea what's going on there...) I am maybe just starting to understand what your offering is, but it isn't there immediately in simple, easy to grok "at a glance" terms. You're making me work really hard to find your value. It feels to me like you need a UX person and a design person to look at this from outside the business. Do some user testing on the homepage - pop it in front of your intended audience and ask them to tell you what it is, why they'd want it. Watch to see what they do. Do they follow your intended conversion funnel, and if not, why not? Finally, I'd say massively (massively!) simplify. And by this I mean definitely simplify the marketing offering (homepage, site navigation, UX) but also maybe (I don't know) consider simplifying the actual offering itself. As I say, just my 2p, take it or leave it ;-)
