Why 30 FPS on Console feels smoother and better than 30 FPS on PC [video]

- TechnicolorByte 4y agoTL;DR 3 main reasons are: 1. Motion blur is heavily used on consoles. While PC games have this option, it’s typically not used since PC gamers sit much closer to the screen compared to console gamers (monitor vs TV), which can cause an uncomfortable and dizzying experience. 2. Input lag of controllers tends to be higher than for gaming mice. 3. Frametime on PC can be less stable (microstutters) due to the large variation in parts of a PC build (can have bottlenecks in storage, GPU, CPU, etc.). Consoles are built with the same components and as a result have a more consistent frametime.
