I've been on a Discworld kick lately, and have been reminded thoroughly of his genius/greatness. On top of the humor and genuinely interesting fantasy plotlines, there's a real humanity and hear to Sir Terry's writing. It's maybe for slightly older kids than mine, but I've just been enjoying it immensely, especially the little snippets of philosophical conversation between the rats.
