Google strikes me as a perfect example of an org which became so big that it started to feel hostile to users. As a result users started to cut Google out of their lives. Google's growth and success will be directly responsible for their downfall. Companies always chase hyper growth, but I honestly believe that the best consumer-company relationships are created by mid-sized companies who focus on a core service, deliver very well on that and don't try to follow their user into all other areas of their lives at which point it becomes creepy and greedy again.
