“I think I was good though I could have been better” – Terry Pratchett biography
- Aromasin 4y agoMy heart still aches about the loss of Mr. Pratchett. Of all authors, he is one of the few with such a lengthy catalogue of which I've not only read every one, but all of them multiple times. He was truly a once in a generation writer.
- almog 4y agoI regret not reading his books earlier in my life. Yet in these last 2 years (which weren't all that great for me), reading his books (for the first time) has been a rare treat that's been really lifting my spirit.
- agentwiggles 4y agoI've been on a Discworld kick lately, and have been reminded thoroughly of his genius/greatness. On top of the humor and genuinely interesting fantasy plotlines, there's a real humanity and hear to Sir Terry's writing. After reading a few I picked up The Amazing Maurice as our bedtime reading book. It's maybe for slightly older kids than mine, but I've just been enjoying it immensely, especially the little snippets of philosophical conversation between the rats.
