We should stop trying to find analogies to historical precedent. Social media is an entirely new beast of the 21st century without any comparison.
A new paradigm and mindset around free speech is needed, because social media and unfettered unmoderated free speech can't simultaneously coexist without collapsing our society.
- tb_technical 4y agoIRC in the 90s was wild. People called each other slurs, and society was unaffected. I wonder what changed?
