Excess mortality in the EU hits 16%, highest 2022 value so far

- JPLeRouzic 4y agoFrom the graphic in the article I would say there were less excess deaths in summer 2020 and 2021 than the other seasons. For Spain, the most excess death were in spring 2020.
- globalreset 4y agoAny correlations in there? It doesn't seem that hard to break it down by age, sex etc, compare with other stats and shine some light on it. Is it just population getting old, one of the vaccines having side effects, psychological effect of the war etc.

- Tarsul 4y agomy guess would be the heatwave. E.g. in Germany the temperature/weather was miserable (for me personally the worst ever. E.g. I did not go running outside because I felt dizzy all the time.); I don't think old/weakened people have could have coped with it well. We usually don't have AC in homes (was not necessary before climate change).
- MrLeap 4y agoAccording to their graph it looks like there's more peaking in the winter.
