Can someone think of a single company that has a positive relationship with Nvidia? They were laughed out of the CPU industry when they tried to buy ARM, virtually nobody wanted them to close that deal. They're such a bizarre company, I mean I've bought several GPUs simply because they were usually the best available when I was looking but most loyalty belongs to the AIB's and not to Nvidia themselves. They're kind of this weird entity that many want but nobody likes. My guess is that Nvidia, realizing they represent 80% of EVGA's revenue tried to get them to sign a very one sided contract and now they're down one of their biggest AIB's on the eve of their latest GPU launch. Indeed I think there must be some pretty bad blood here between Nvidia and EVGA leadership.
