  You're not wrong but it's far far more productive on the GPU. If you're willing to burn your CPU on mining XMR, you may as well add GPU(s) to that host and light them up as well. Is that no longer the case? It has been a couple years since I dabbled in mining XMR, that was definitely the case then.
