A Python web server out performing a Rust web server?
- Austizzle 4y agoRobyn is a python package written in rust, so they're not entirely separate things here. This also appears to be "constant requests" in Robyn, which seem to cache the results of routes that are static. It's neat though
- sanskarjethi 4y agoWell, the surprising part is that Robyn also has some Python and GIL overhead. But is still able to outperform native Rust in some cases.
- jeremycarter 4y agoIt's written in rust. Python is just glue in this case. Very deceptive article. Write it in pure python and show the results!
- sanskarjethi 4y ago@jeremycarter , do you consider `numpy` as a Python package or a C package? If you `numpy` is considered a Python package, then Robyn is one too. Hence not deceptive in any case.
