This is a reassuring article. I had started to feel like I was losing eyesight because some "themes" are so hard to read, especially those dark themes using the annoying shade of blue. This is especially true for Emacs users. There are so many themes available for Emacs that finding the good ones can be difficult. My advice with respect to Emacs themes, the built in themes are quite good and especially the modus themes (and also the package ef-themes) both by Protesilaos Stavrou.
