Match Group acquires members-only dating app The League
- hn2017 4y agoActually happened in July of this year. Interesting, from what I hear this app is popular in SF and New York tech/financial scenes. Seems like a nice way to get rich is to create a niche dating app and just wait to be acquired!
- Bostonian 4y agoIs "The League" a reference to the Ivy League (with schools like Stanford and MIT honorary members)? I am 51, male, and happily married, but if I were looking now I would like the ability to screen by verified SAT or ACT scores, since those are less noisy measures of IQ than having attended a highly ranked school, since getting in can result from athletic prowess, rich family donors, race, and other factors. Of course, some people may value some of those qualities in a mate.
