  1 Pedal driving, ie, regen brakes apply whenever there is no pressure on the gas. In a manual transmission this is from engine braking, without gas applied, it immediately starts slowing down. This makes traffic flow better by reducing the need for last minute stopping, predicting when you need acceleration, reducing speed automatically when the driver is cautious, and generally increased attention and awareness.
