The article sheds no light on why the charges were dropped. I myself never enjoy the sense that a guilty party gets off on a technicality when I care about the broken law. If DNA is a random false positive generator, its efficacy as a perpetrator identifier is less than many are led to believe. I'm not advocating for this use of DNA. I am soliciting any evidence for mixed feelings about it.
