You can rip a copy to a NAS (or a flash drive if you have a smart TV with a USB port) if you would rather have a streaming experience. Copies of the show often show up in good condition at second-hand bookstores. You wouldn't have to worry about ads, the show getting rotated in or out of the cable/streaming service, could resell the copies if you don't want them anymore, and would be paying only for the shows that you want to see
