The fact that shipping new products is cheaper than reinventoring used ones is an indication that we are on a death spiral. Having the move fast and break things crowd come up with a solution to consumer electronic prices is just going to accelerate pollution that much more. And I am aware of the sweet irony of typing all this on a phone whose low price depends on complex supply chains.
