I always questioned his openness to share his handle considering his association with cDc. But I guess there is enough plausible deniability, or his utility is so great, that people will look past it. I doubt anyone would be shocked a hacker was involved in "legally shady" things. If they want dirt they're probably going to be looking for other things of a more personal nature.

None of the cDc people really have done anything "interesting" (actually in violation of the CFAA) in well over 20, maybe close to 30 years. Its a whitehat larp gang that somehow retains the trappings of the scene, much like many other groups.
