Sure, it's possible to do it by hand, but it's not possible for the AOT to do it for you, and this then violates the parent's "all things considered equal" claim. There are certainly going to be tradeoffs that runtime analysis can make that AOT cannot make, even if the example I wrote is possible to fix at compiletime.
