To be honest this is the most credible crisis faced by China so far(but it's really this + questionable Covid policy + expected economic slowdown altogether) but the thing that makes it hard to judge is obviously that bankruptcies and stuff are managed differently in China. It is by a long shot the biggest intervention that China has had to do, but they will intervene if stuff gets really critical. For those who were watching this story develop when the first Evergrande articles appeared people were expecting there to be a huge crisis by now already, but so far it hasn't come. I'm much more concerned about the Covid policy than this to be honest.
