  Occasionally I accidentally stumble on to Reels or YouTube Shorts, and it's amazing how addictive it is to keep scrolling through them. Surprises me that engagement isn't higher.

  Good. What is called "engagement" in the web/app context, if I understand it , is entirely evil, a terrible mental sickness propagated intentionally. Notifications beyond those really important should be banned by law. I hope the EU is going to move this way once the practice of applying the GDPR matures and they go on to progress in meaningful regulation of the web. Also trying to conquer what another business has already been doing great hardly is a good business practice from any point of view. Unless you really can and intend do a much better job at that.
