Hunger is incredibly hard to study because it is made up of many physiological sensations and psychological responses to those sensations, and none of those are readily comparable between individuals. So we don't really study hunger very much - there are some really good studies out there, but not very many. And we don't talk about managing hunger, we talk about managing calories and managing weight.
