That's a good insight, and I think being asked to think deeply about these things is also good, but I'm skeptical that this activity in this specific context really leads to any sort of honest introspection. To me at least, it feels loaded with expectations that you answer a certain way. I mean, you are almost certainly going to be judged (or at least feel judged) based on what you write, so that undermines the incentive to be truly honest with yourself.
