Everything you listed there is pretty tame stuff, politics and religion are not discussed in professional settings specifically because it can cause problems that affect people's abilities to work together.
- emielm 4y agoThis sounds very American :). In my (European) country this is not a weird thing to discuss informally among colleagues. Of course you do learn to avoid the topic quickly with certain people, but that goes for more things: vaccinations, choice of school, sports results
